War Photographer
The great photojournalist Robert Capa said "If your pictures aren't good enough, you're not close enough." James Nachtwey, a committed, shy man, considered one of the bravest and most important war photographers of our time, has been close enough for over 20 years - a period in which he has not missed a single war.
War Photographer follows Nachtwey for two years to hot spots including Kosovo, the West Bank, and Indonesia, as he searches for a picture he thinks he can publish. Special video micro-cameras were attached to Nachtwey's still camera, a technique which allowed viewers, for the first time in the history of movies about photographers, the most intimate insight into the work of a photojournalist.
