Many people see the WTO protests in Seattle (1999) as the first big anti-capitalist protest in the Northern hemisphere but it was arguably the J18 carnival against capitalism earlier that same year. On June 18th 1999 there were protests all around the world. In Britain tens of thousands of demonstrators, some wearing pinstripe suits, turned out to shut down the City of London. This film was edited from dozens of cameras recording various actions around the city. It was webcast on the day and screened all over Britain within 2 weeks. A collaboration between I- Contact video Network and Undercurrents

30 minutes of full day of action with kicking music and street party.
