Hamish's Video's

This is a list of the films made from 1997 to 2005 by Hamish Campbell, a video activist working with Undercurrents. The material varies in quality and content, and includes videos from training workshops. They also vary in length - from brief webclips to a half-hour documentary which took 2 years to make. Most of it is available on-line. If you want screenable versions they are all available through the Ruffcuts project. For archive footage/broadcast material please contact our archive manager. 	** Sainsbury Blockade The footage from this action was used by regional TV news. This video was edited and uploaded in a day. PLAY VIDEO**
	** People's Global Action PGA video workshop produced and screened in a day for undercurrents PGA cinema. PLAY VIDEO
	* OCSET - creative squatted social center in East Oxford This eviction was videoed and uploaded in a few hours to Oxford IMC. Screened locally in Oxford. PLAY VIDEO
	** GREENHAM - The making of a monument (30 min) - made over two years. Distributed on VHS and DVD PLAY VIDEO**
	*** Aboan Bridge Powerful documentary on police repression. Made with Martin and Ben, translated into 6 languages and screened in many venues around Europe as part of the Oboan Bridge support campaign. PLAY VIDEO**
	** Paddy (1 min) Made as a pilot for a 10 part 1 min photo Internet culture project for Oxford IMC. PLAY VIDEO
	** Blackwood Protest Camp (1.12) quick edit of a direct action camp against road building in Wales. Screened locally with IMC and "open mic" Catweazle Club. PLAY VIDEO
	* Forte Palistan Squatted social center. Started as a workshop with the DASH and Forte crew. Took a year to finish because of badly framed wobble footage. PLAY VIDEO**
	** Madam Secretary (2 mins 45 secs) US secretary of state is made unwelcome in Oxford during her book signing. PLAY VIDEO**
	** Food Co-ops are the way to go (1.10 mins) Made at an undercurrents training workshop at MERCI Manchester. Co-ops are important as they empower workers to take control of their daily lives. Distributed on ruffcuts CD and European Newsreel FSTV in US PLAY VIDEO**
	* Squatting in Amsterdam Made with IMC Netherlands. Shown on cable TV and IMC Netherlands. Screened in many European countries via European Newsreal and FSTV in the States. PLAY VIDEO**
	*** Modified Maize (Jeolotts Hill) (4.25 min) June 2003. Fifty people enter the enclosed compound at Jeolotts Hill Research Station owned by Syngenta and take direct action to remove an entire plot of experimental wheat. (Ben did much of the editing).
	* B52-Two (2.5 min) Made by Katy B, Two activists were arrested while attempting to disarm a B52 bomber plane headed for Iraq on the eve of the war. While the B52-Two face 10 years imprisonment, supporters turned out to send messages to the prisoners of conscience. PLAY VIDEO
	Escanda (unfinished) Escanda film about a practical utopian alternative in northern Spain. No affinity group to finish the film (10-15 min)
	Recipe Against War (4.17 minutes) Activists from all over Europe meet in Escanda, Spain and keep busy by taking direct action against the war in Iraq. Made with EYFA and Escanda crew PLAY VIDEO**

	** Climate Action at the Motor Show The 185 governments which signed the UN Climate Change Convention are meeting from 23 Oct to 1 Nov in New Delhi, India, for the annual cycle of climate negotiations. At the same time the largest car show in Europe opens in Birmingham. PLAY VIDEO

	ECO-TOUR: "Celtic Safari"(3:32) Summer 2002 saw a bicycle tour wind it's way from Kent through to the Ecotopia festival near Limerick. They supported grass roots campaigns and projects on the way. Made with Viv. PLAY VIDEO**
